Follow Your Destiny, Wherever It Leads You

May 29, 2016

Follow Your Destiny, Wherever It Leads You
- by Vicki Silvers

There comes a time in your life when you realize that if you stand still, you will remain at this point forever. You realize that if you fall and stay down, life will pass you by.

Life's circumstances are not always what you might wish them to be. The pattern of life does not necessarily go as you plan. Beyond any understanding, you may at times be led in different directions that you never imagined, dreamed, or designed. Yet if you had never put any effort into choosing a path, or tried to carry out your dream, then perhaps you would have no direction at all...

Rather than wondering about or questioning the direction your life has taken, accept the fact that there is a path before you now. Shake off the "why's" and "what if's", and rid yourself of confusion.
Whatever was ~ is in the past. Whatever is ~ is what's important. The past is a brief reflection. The future is yet to be realized. Today is here.

Walk your path one step at a time ~ with courage, faith, and determination. Keep your head up, and cast your dreams to the stars. Soon your steps will become firm, and your footing will be solid again.

A path that you never imagined will become the most comfortable direction you could have ever hoped to follow.

Keep your belief in yourself and walk into your new journey. You will find it magnificent, spectacular, and beyond your wildest imaginings.

Effects Of New Technology

Discoveries and invention of devices are always welcome till we, humans, find a way to abuse it's benefits and adversely affected by it. This was the case when Wilhelm Roentgen discovered x-ray and within five years, the British Army was using a mobile x-ray unit to locate bullets and shrapnel in wounded soldiers in the Sudan. TV was also invented with positive thoughts in mind -  there would be no national borders, education and communication would be worldwide, etc. However, we are now trying to overcome it's physiological effects of watching TV in excessive amounts that can cause eye - strain. It is true that there are specifications for watching. TV should be placed at the same height with our eyes. In some way, these do not prevent our eyes from getting tired if we keep watching tv for a long period of time. Another effect is obesity, which is widely observed in people who like watching TV or even watching through computers, laptops and smartphone. Most people love to eat snacks with all the foods beside them while watching. New invented technology is such a powerful that people cannot get away from it.

Apart from the physiological effects. Technology also causes psychological effects. One is a result of being exposed to violence. After seeing so many violent scenes, people start considering violent actions as normal and can cause lose control and sensitivity to their environment. Partly connected to this effect, the suffering of others causes people to become alienated. Some of this example is like after coming from work. People seek to relax in front of the TV, and generally people prefer watching TV than talking to each other. This issue is very important since lack of interpersonal relationships mostly end with break-ups, annulment and divorces. Shortly, inventions are meant to be beneficial for human beings if we know how to benefit from it. Technology is one of such inventions that need to be used for the right purpose if only being educated and entertained for a reasonable ( according to age ) period of time. We may then be safe from it or at least reduce the adverse physiological and psychological effects of the new technology.

74th Monthsary: Reukin Day

May 26, 2016

Almost midnight when we decided to have dinner to celebrate our monthsary. It was a round trip to downtown since most of the restaurant are already closed. My King was so busy on his work that's why we celebrated our monthsary before the end of the day. We found this restaurant Ginkaku Japanese Restaurant located at Damosa right after Mindanao Kokusai Daigaku (Mindanao International College) and Philippine Nikkei Jin Kai International School of Davao City. Actually we've been there before as my king and I ate the Sakurazaka Japanese Restaurant near Ginkaku. It was posted on my past blogpost before. There are many Japanese restaurant around the area. It was said that all the owners of the different restaurant in that area are all friends including the Sumo Hotel near in that area.

Sundate With My King

May 22, 2016

After a very long days of staying at home, my king and I finally have the time to unwind from stressful works. After eating lunch at Akiko Japanese Restaurant we went to Abreeza Mall to watch X-Men Apocalypse. We are too early for our schedule so we played games from the nearest Timezone. I was enjoying myself playing games like tho old days. I was sweating a lot while my king and I played Tekken in which we are enemy on the game. I loss against my king many times, but it's fine. It was just his luck on this day. ajaja ^_^. Gotta visit again here at Timezone soon.

I love to see the works of an artist including there work studio. Actually there was a make-up tutorial in that studio but I'm not fan of it so I only took this photo. ejeje

Here we are. We rarely out on our world so we took the chance to enjoy ourselves as being child.

Akiko Japanese Restaurant

Just recently, we discover a new Japanese Restaurant in town here in Davao City. Akiko Japanese Restaurant as what I've search the restaurant was serving authentic and delicious Japanese cuisine at reasonable price for 15 years and counting. This restaurant is kinda old and it looks like what I've been seeing in the movies. Well in fact even the place is kinda old but the foods here are great. There foods are very tasty and delicious. The staff is very accommodating and approachable. We went back twice in Akiko because my King love's the food. I will highly recommend it to try and taste the original style of Japanese Cuisine.
